
James T. Garrick, esq.

James T. Garrick is a litigator and trial attorney. He practices in the areas of tenants’ rights, criminal defense, civil rights, and real estate and land use. James is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island and Seton Hall School of Law and has clerked at the New Jersey Superior Court Criminal Division in Essex County. He began his career as a litigator with an insurance defense law firm in New York. Since founding The Law Office of James T. Garrick, James has successfully represented tenants, persons charged with crimes, home-buyers, and victims of police and institutional abuse.
James is dedicated to serving the community. In particular, his work is focused on underrepresented groups that face difficulty navigating the Courts and accessing legal representation. He is currently admitted to the New Jersey and New York state bars.
